 About This Job:

• Accounting Designation (CA, CGA, CMA), or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5-10 years of progressive accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
• Computer literate with excellent knowledge of Accounting Software (AccPac), Microsoft Office, and MRP systems in general
• Experience with, and excellent knowledge of TS16949 and ISO14001 systems
• Excellent documentation and organizational skills
• Excellent initiative, leadership and problem solving skills
• Excellent English language communication skills (both written and verbal)

The Controller is accountable for the administration of Accounting and financial policies, procedures and practices to ensure adequate control, recording and analysis of the Division’s business transactions, operating results, assets and liabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide financial analysis, statements and report according to established procedures and format to Management Team and Corporate
• Compare, analyze and communicate monthly financial results
• Prepare and report supplemental financial information to head office
• Prepare and report quarterly presentation to head office
• Oversee, prepare, submit annual business plan and or subsequent re-forecasts to General Manager and Corporate
• Oversee, prepare, submit year end working papers for audit (int. & ext.)
• Review and asses all quotes; review and approve all disbursements
• Provide leadership in plant-wide improvement activities driven by key performance indicators (KPI)
• Maintain integrity of key business activities inside TS16949
• Work in compliance with and prepare audit for SOX 404
• Initiate and complete special projects
• Ensure confidentiality of financial and office reports
• Manage the payables and receivables functions
• Manage the cost systems for production, tooling, prototypes and R&D
• Manage the capital asset system of approvals, purchases and continuity schedules
• Meet departmental budget
• Manage the activities of employees in the department and distributes their work as necessary
• Resolve work problems and recommend work measures to improve productivity
• Control working hours of employees within department through EZLM system; ensure attendance is monitored and approve vacation, floaters, birthdays, etc.
• Review work performance of employees within department and make recommendations regarding future work assignments and merit increases
• Perform interviews and orientations as required
• Ensure employees within department receive the proper training to complete their job expectations; update technical training checklists in a timely manner (if applicable)
• Ensure all workers are trained on and abide by related TS16949 and ISO 14001 work instructions at all times
• Conduct regular departmental team meetings
